Colson Kelly (aka Machine Gun Kelly), is a rap artist who is known for his unique style. Baker was born on the 22nd of April, 1990, in Houston Texas U.S. into a family that was of English Scottish and German descent. As a child, he spent a great deal of time traveling with his parents who were missionaries. James Colson Baker, his father, suffered depression and unemployment. The mother of his son Sonia Alane had left him when he turned nine. Baker along with his father moved to Denver and lived in the home of his father's Aunt. Baker was bullied by other youngsters in his community because due to his poverty. The first time Baker heard of hip-hop was as he began sixth class. Colson Kelly was born Machine Gun Kelly on April 22, 1989, in Texas. The music he creates blends modern, alternative hip-hop along with rock. Before joining Bad Boy Records Baker released four mixtapes between 2007 and 2010. The Cleveland rapper who penned lyrics at the pace that of a fast bullet saw an explosive growth when at the end of 2011, Baker switched from self-released mixes to reputable labels. The fame of this Cleveland rapper skyrocketed after the release of his debut mixtape late in 2011.
